When a candidate applies for any job, the job description is in fact the first thing that they read. A qualified candidate wouldn’t apply for a job if they know it’s not a good fit for them. Candidates don’t want to waste their time or yours by interviewing for a job that they were misled about. In your job descriptions make sure that each one is very detailed and gives applicants the right idea. Briefly describe all tasks that are to be expected that way candidates already know what to expect before onboarding. If not, you’re creating an open invitation to decrease employee productivity, dissatisfaction, and confusion.
